Holiday Lighting Case Study
Project Overview
This Canonsburg project involved installing custom Christmas lighting on the Scarmazzi Homes showroom in downtown Canonsburg. As one of the Pittsburgh area's most recognizable home builders, they wanted a display that would help their historic building stand out during the holiday season.
The design featured warm white C-9 bulbs along the roofline and around the windows to create a classic gingerbread-style appearance that complemented the architecture.
Because traditional gutter and shingle clips could not be used, we installed the lighting with magnetic roofline clips and adhesive window clips to achieve a clean, professional finish while protecting the building.
Design Direction
The goal was to create a classic holiday display that highlighted the historic character of the Scarmazzi Homes showroom. Warm white C-9 bulbs were selected to provide a timeless look while drawing attention to the building's architecture.
We used several key elements throughout the display:

The result was a clean, elegant display that helped the building stand out throughout downtown Canonsburg.
Installation Challenges
The height of the building and steep roof sections made installation more difficult than a typical holiday lighting project. Since standard gutter and shingle clips could not be used, we relied on magnetic and adhesive mounting systems to achieve a clean finished appearance.
We also encountered unexpected challenges, including a power source that was unusable and a section of wire damaged by an animal after installation. Our team responded the same day and had the system repaired within two hours.
The Result
The finished display transformed the Scarmazzi Homes showroom into a standout holiday landmark in downtown Canonsburg. The warm white roofline lighting and gingerbread-style window accents highlighted the building's architecture while creating a festive, welcoming atmosphere.
